Vance noted the growing number of voters in favor of controlling migration

US Vice President Jay Dee Vance said that more and more voters in Europe are voting for politicians who promise to put an end to uncontrolled migration, and stressed that Washington supports this approach.

“No one voted in the elections to open the floodgates for millions of untrained migrants. But do you know what they voted for? In England, they are in favor of Brexit (Britain’s exit from the EU). Whether you agree with it or not, they made their choice. And more and more people across Europe are voting for political leaders who promise to put an end to uncontrolled migration,” Vance said, speaking at the Munich Security Conference that kicked off on Friday.

He added that he shares these concerns himself, but ultimately believes that what European citizens themselves care about is more important.

“I agree with many of these concerns, but even if you disagree with me, one thing is important – people care about their homes,” Vance said, addressing the forum participants.
