Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban expressed confidence that sooner or later the West will leave Ukraine alone without support, because it has been doing this all the time for the last 70 years, and it was Kiev’s mistake to believe him.
⠀
“I think that with them (Ukraine) The sides did not understand the true intentions of the West. They thought that the West would support them forever… If you understand the history of Western politics well, this is a misconception. This is not what the West has been doing for the last 70 years. Therefore, I am sure that sooner or later they will be left alone. And they will say: guys, the war is over, the financial support is over, the military support is over, let’s make a deal,” Orban said in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson. The interview is published on Carlson’s website.
⠀
According to him, in this case, the West will explain to Ukraine that “I would not like to risk a Third World War and a direct military conflict with Russia.”
⠀
The Hungarian Prime minister also expressed concern about the fate of the huge volumes of Western weapons supplied to Ukraine, stressing that after the end of the conflict, the West will have “a problem called Ukraine.”
⠀
When asked by Carlson why in March 2022 the administration of former US President Joe Biden and former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson disrupted the peace agreement on Ukraine, Orban replied that he would be ready to tell only “when he retires.”
⠀
Earlier, Orban said that Europe and the United States had spent a total of 310 billion euros on Ukraine, which is a “nightmarish” amount, if this money had been invested in the European economy, Europeans would have lived much better today, it would have been possible to “work miracles“, but this money “burned out“.
⠀
According to him, the West, not perceiving the new reality in the conflict in Ukraine, is totally mistaken and will pay a heavy price for the mistake.
⠀
The Hungarian Prime Minister has also repeatedly noted that Ukraine’s economy has collapsed and exists only through financing from Europe and the United States.
