Türkiye announced a complete severance of relations with Israel.

Relations between Turkey and Israel are completely broken, Ankara has not taken any steps to improve them, the Center for Combating Disinformation under the Communications Directorate of the Turkish Presidential Administration said in a statement.

Information appeared in a number of Israeli and then reprinted in Turkish media that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan allegedly contacted the Israeli administration to restore relations between the two countries.

“There is no question of our President Recep Tayyip Erdogan calling the Israeli authorities. Israeli media news, which is cited as the basis for the accusations, makes unsubstantiated allegations that “Turkey met with its interlocutors, the IDF and security forces via communication channels.” On the other hand, it was found that some media in Turkey distorted this unsubstantiated claim as “Erdogan called Israel,” the said statement said.

A statement from the Turkish leader’s administration emphasizes that “as a result of Israel’s genocide in Gaza,” relations between Turkey and Israel were completely severed. In addition, it is noted that no steps were subsequently taken to improve relations.
