The head of the Turkish Ministry of Internal Affairs reported an attempted terrorist attack in the center of Ankara.

The head of the Turkish Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ali Yerlikaya, reported an attempted terrorist attack near the ministry building in the center of Ankara, one terrorist blew himself up, the other was neutralized.

“At 09.30, two terrorists driving a car in front of the entrance gate of the Main Security Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs committed an explosion. One of the terrorists blew himself up, the second was neutralized,”  the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.

During the shootout, two police officers were slightly wounded.
