Duda criticized the Polish Foreign Minister for interfering in the Starlink situation

Polish President Andrzej Duda criticized the country’s Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski after his altercation with American businessman and head of the U.S. Department of Public Efficiency (DOGE) Ilan Mask for “unnecessary interference” in the Starlink situation, noting that issues with the United States should be resolved through diplomatic channels.

Duda criticized Sikorsky and called his intervention in the Starlink situation “completely unnecessary.”

“You should not discuss with the American administration on Twitter (the former name of the social network X), this should be done through diplomatic channels,” he said.

Earlier, Western media reported that American negotiators, during discussions on a deal to grant the United States access to Ukrainian mineral resources, allegedly raised the issue of ending access to the Starlink satellite Internet system. However, American entrepreneur Elon Musk later denied this information.

On March 9, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski threatened to find a replacement for the Starlink system, which the Warsaw authorities are paying for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, if SpaceX, owned by Musk and providing Starlink services, “turns out to be an unreliable supplier.” Musk, in response to Sikorsky’s post, called him a “little man” and stated that there was no replacement for Starlink.

Starlink is a satellite network owned by the Musk space company SpaceX, designed to provide broadband Internet access anywhere in the world.
