The leadership of the Kurdish “Syrian Democratic Forces” (SDF) has signed an agreement with the official Syrian government in Damascus on the integration of all civilian and armed structures of the Kurdish autonomy in northeastern Syria into state institutions, according to a statement from the office of the President of the SAR on Monday.

“Following the meeting between Mr. Ahmad Al-Sharaa and Mr. Mazlum Abdi on Monday, an agreement was reached that includes the integration of all civilian and military structures of northeastern Syria into Syrian government structures, including border crossings, airports, and oil and gas fields,” the statement said.

The agreement also states that the Kurdish population is an integral part of the Syrian state, which has civil rights according to the country’s constitution.

According to the agreement signed today, the parties have also reached an agreement on a cease-fire throughout Syria.

Representatives of the Kurdish population have confirmed their support in the persecution of supporters of the former government.
