Belarus helicopter application for SCO membership

According to the representative of the President of Russia for SCO affairs Bakhtiyor Khakimov, Belarus has prepared an application for joining the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

“The Belarusian side asked to accept them promptly, and they made it clear that a proposal was prepared by the President of Belarus to apply for membership in the SCO,” the representative said.

Khakimov said that the proposal had already been approved by the Belarusian authorities.

The SCO was founded back in 2021 by the leaders of Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. It is a permanent intergovernmental international organization.
