The new US Secretary of State made a statement about the end of the conflict in Ukraine.

Hostilities between Russia and Ukraine must stop,  the new US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said, as quoted by CNN.

“We want the war to end. That’s pretty clear. You saw what the president said, he wants to be a president who promotes peace and ends conflict, and that will be difficult too,” he said.

Rubio added that since a ceasefire “will be the president’s top priority,” it will “happen almost immediately.” However, he added that resolving the crisis will be a complex process.

Last December, it became known that Trump’s plan to resolve the conflict in Ukraine involves Kyiv’s refusal of NATO membership and territorial concessions in favor of Russia.

In addition, Trump stated that the CWO would never have started if he had been president instead of Joe Biden.
