Americans felt a split in society under Biden, a survey showed.

More than half of Americans believe society has become more divided since former US President Joe Biden was in office from 2021 to 2024, according to a survey by polling firm Rasmussen Reports.

“More than 55% of likely U.S. voters say America has become a more divided nation after four years of Biden in office,” according to the poll results published on the Rasmussen Reports website.

Only 16% believe the country is less divided, and 30% believe the level of division in society is about the same as before Biden became president in 2021.

The survey was conducted on January 16, as well as from January 19 to 20. 1,220 Americans took part. The margin of error is about 3 percentage points.
