Turkmenistan and Grenada decided to establish diplomatic relations. The respective document was signed in the building of the Turkmen Embassy in Moscow.
As the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reports, the signing of the Joint Communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations between Grenada and the Central Asian state followed the negotiations and preparative meetings. The diplomats from both countries have discussed a wide spectre of aspect for the future mutually fruitful relationship.
Turkmenistan is interested in the boosting of economic ties with Grenada, Grenada, a state in the West Indies in the Caribbean Sea. It gained independence in 1974. Now, the Caribbean nation has population of over 111,000 and covers total area of 344 square kilometres.
The Turkmen diplomat Batyr Niyazliev and the Ambassador of Grenada to the Russian Federation Oleg Firer signed the Joint Communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations in the building of the Turkmen Embassy in Moscow, Turkmen Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed.
Prior to signing the communique, talks and meetings were held between the two countries. The diplomats also have exchanged views on the prospects for bilateral cooperation, including in the field of education and science, culture, art and sports.
