The United States has already launched more than 200 strikes against the Houthis in Yemen, the White House said

The United States has already launched “more than 200 successful strikes” against targets of the Ansar Allah movement (Houthis) in northern Yemen, White House spokeswoman Caroline Levitt said on Tuesday.

“The last time I stood on this podium, there were more than 100 successful strokes. There are already more than 200 successful strikes against the Houthis,” she told reporters at a briefing.

On March 15, US President Donald Trump ordered the US military to take “decisive and powerful” actions against the Houthis, whom he had previously listed as terrorist organizations. The Central Command of the US Armed Forces reported that the country has launched a large-scale operation against the Houthis in Yemen to protect American interests. The leader of the United States also called on Iran to stop supporting the Houthis and not threaten “the American population and their president.”
