The press service of the General Command of the country reports: The Polish Armed Forces are transferring a thousand military and 200 pieces of equipment to the border with Belarus in the Podlaskie Voivodeship.

“We are strengthening our presence in the east of Poland. A thousand soldiers and almost 200 pieces of equipment from the 12th mechanized Brigade and the 17th mechanized brigade will move to the east of Poland,” the army leadership noted.

As the command warned, heavy traffic of military convoys is expected on the roads in the northern, central and eastern parts of the country tomorrow.

The Polish army explained that the purpose of this “training presence of a part of the infantry troops” is “to demonstrate the will and ability to respond immediately to attempts to destabilize the situation on the border.”
