Mark Zuckerberg, an American businessman and co-founder of Meta, wrote on his new Threads text messaging service account a few hours after the launch that the number of registrations had reached 5 million.

“Just got 5 million registered (users) in the first four hours,” Zuckerberg tweeted.

On Thursday, a Twitter user tweeted a photo of a mini keyboard made up of three keys: “ctrl”, “C” and “V”.

The photo is accompanied by the caption: “Meta’s new application was created entirely using this keyboard.” We are talking about Windows hot keys Ctrl+C (copy) and Ctrl+V (paste). The new text messaging service Threads is a competitor to Twitter. Entrepreneur and Twitter owner Elon Musk reacted to this publication by leaving a laughing emoji in the comments under the post.

According to a description on the new app’s page on the App Store, the service is available for download starting July 6 and is designed to “share ideas and trends through text.” Threads will become the third service in the portfolio of Meta-owned company Instagram Inc., which includes the social network of the same name, also banned in Russia and recognized as extremist, and the photo editor Layout.
