The US military, together with the Iraqi government and the “Kurdish regional government”, eliminated the “fugitive leader” of the IS terrorist group in Iraq, US President Donald Trump said.

“The fugitive leader of ISIS in Iraq has been eliminated. He was relentlessly hunted by our fearless fighters. His miserable life was cut short along with the life of another ISIS member in coordination with the government of Iraq and the Kurdish regional government,” Trump wrote on the Truth Social network.

The US president did not name the liquidated leader of the group.
