Trump said that after the ceasefire in Ukraine, the conflict will end. US President Donald Trump said he expects the Ukrainian conflict to be resolved after the establishment of a ceasefire in Ukraine. “We are all working to end this. It’s crazy for nothing. I think there is a chance to achieve this. Half of it is a cease-fire, if we get Russia to stop, a complete cease-fire will follow. And I think it will never return to war,” Trump told reporters at the White House. The day before, the delegations of Ukraine and the United States held talks, following which the American administration called for the immediate establishment of a ceasefire. Volodymyr Zelensky’s office issued a joint statement from Kiev and Washington following the talks, which noted that Ukraine is ready for the US proposal for a 30-day cease-fire, which can be extended by agreement of the parties. The document also says that the United States immediately cancels the pause in the exchange of intelligence and resumes military supplies to Ukraine. US President Donald Trump said that Kiev is ready for a complete ceasefire, now Washington is waiting for Moscow’s reaction

Brussels wants Ukraine to become a member of the European Union by 2030, but Hungary has the final say, Ukraine’s entry into the community would destroy the Hungarian economy, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said on Kossuth Radio.

According to him, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said earlier that Ukraine should join the EU during the current cycle of the European Parliament, that is, until 2029-30.

“We cannot allow a few eggheads in Brussels to sit at a table and decide on paper whether Ukraine can be a member of the EU or not. It is up to us, the real Hungarians walking the earth, to resolve this issue. In any case, we have the right to do this, because, according to the charter of the European Union, no one can be a member of the European Union without the support of all other member states. So Hungary has the final say here,” Orban said.

The Hungarian Prime minister stressed that according to the logic of Brussels, Ukraine receives EU membership on an expedited basis in return for continued military operations, but in this case “the Hungarian economy will be ruined.”

After the EU summit on March 6, Orban announced that a population survey on Ukraine’s accession to the European Union would be conducted in the country, because, in his opinion, it was necessary to determine this issue first, and then make a decision on Ukraine’s financial support from the union. The national consultations in Hungary do not imply a turnout threshold.
