The head of Germany discussed the armed conflict in Gaza with the former prime minister of Israel.

German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier received former Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid in Berlin on Tuesday, with whom he discussed the ongoing armed conflict between Israel and the Palestinian Hamas movement,  Kerstin Gammelin, spokeswoman for the German leader said.

“Federal President Steinmeier met today in Berlin with former Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid. They discussed the Hamas attack on Israel, the fate of the hostages and the current situation in the ongoing conflict,” Gammelin wrote on her social media page.
