The EU countries will discuss retaliatory measures to the US duties, Tusk said

The European Union countries will hold consultations on Wednesday, February 12, on retaliatory measures to the imposition of U.S. duties on steel and aluminum, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said, opening a cabinet meeting.

“I suggested during a meeting with the head of the European Commission in Gdansk (last Friday) that a possible response to the duties, although the policy of duties is within the competence of the Commission, be consulted with all member countries based on the importance of our relations with the United States. I know that they will take place tomorrow,” Tusk said.

You, Krzysztof, will represent us at these consultations,” he added, addressing Minister of Development and Technology Krzysztof Pashik.
