Police have banned children from singing the American anthem in the Capitol.

Police have banned children from singing the American anthem in the Capitol.

In the United States, police interrupted the performance of the American anthem by a children’s choir in the walls of the Capitol, explaining that the singing could “offend someone,”  Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Green said.

“The Rushinbrook Children’s Choir was singing the national anthem at the Capitol and was stopped by Capitol police,” she tweeted.

As the congresswoman clarified, law enforcement officers explained their demand to the children and their leader to stop singing the anthem by the fact that it could offend someone or “cause problems.”

Speaker of the House of Representatives of the US Congress Kevin McCarthy also confirmed the information about the speech interrupted by the police, calling the officers’ action “unacceptable”.
