Mass raids against illegal migrants have begun in the United States.

US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) conducted raids to search for illegal migrants in the state of Texas, more than 80 people were detained, CBS reported, citing data from the service.

According to the channel, the arrests occurred as part of “enhanced targeted operations” in the cities of Dallas, Fort Worth and Irving. The City of Houston Drug Enforcement Administration also participated in the raids.

“US Customs and Immigration Enforcement arrested 84 people in North Texas on Sunday,” the TV channel reported.

Other media outlets are also reporting massive raids by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in other parts of the country. Thus, the New York Post notes that during one of the raids in the city of Denver, Colorado, about 50 members of the Venezuelan criminal organization Tren de Aragua were detained.

US Immigration and Customs Enforcement itself said on social media X that on Sunday it began conducting “enhanced targeted operations” to find illegal migrants in Chicago.
