Lithuania blocked the Medininkai checkpoint on the border with Belarus.

The Lithuanian side blocked traffic at the Medininkai checkpoint (from the Belarusian side – Kamenny Log), the press service of the State Border Committee of Belarus said on Saturday.

“Today at 13.00, the Lithuanian side unilaterally stopped the registration of persons and vehicles at the Medininkai checkpoint (opposite the Kamenny Log checkpoint),” the ministry said in a statement.

At the same time, it is emphasized that the Belarusian side is ready to carry out the passage of persons and vehicles. “The entire responsibility for the aggravation of the situation at the border and the formation of queues lies with the Lithuanian side,” the Belarusian Civil Procedure Code said.
