Iran is appealing to four senior UN officials to demand Israel’s expulsion from the organization’s General Assembly, Kazem Gharib-Abadi, Secretary General of the Iranian Human Rights Council said.

Gharib-Abadi’s statement said it was addressed to UN Secretary-General António Guterres, Chairman of the UN Economic and Social Council Robert Ray, Head of the UN Women’s Commission Abd al-Aziz umm al-Wasil and UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk.

“Undoubtedly, the time has come for Israel to answer and pay for its crimes, in particular, to be sentenced to expulsion from the UN… Also in this regard, a serious demand has recently been put forward by a wide range of UN members to terminate Israel’s membership in the UN General Assembly. Joint resistance and resilience, as well as maximum Isolation is the only way to stop the killing machine of this criminal regime,” the text of the statement by the Secretary General of the Iranian Human Rights Council said.

Violation of the UN Charter, the four Geneva Conventions, international human rights and humanitarian rights – these are the accusations Iran makes in its statement. The killings of women and children, shelling of residential areas, the systematic destruction of the educational system of Palestine and Lebanon, as well as other war crimes and crimes against humanity are cited in Gharib-Abadi’s appeal with references to relevant reports of international organizations as evidence of Israel’s guilt.

The Israeli army continues to violate the ceasefire agreement that came into force at 4:00 am on Wednesday for the third day. On Thursday, Israeli drones attacked a car in the border settlement of Markaba. At the same time, Israeli military aircraft systematically violate Lebanese airspace, and reconnaissance drones do not leave southern Lebanon.
