Europe shudders from gas prices. To date, it will exceed $3,200 per thousand cubic meters.

From the information of the London Stock Exchange of the ICE exchange, exchange prices for gas in Europe for the first time since March have overcome the mark of $3,200 per thousand cubic meters.

The nearest futures started at the auction today at the price of 3080, and later the amount reached 3232.5 dollars. Such amounts break records, the maximum has always been 2990.6 dollars.

Fluctuations in the European gas market are associated primarily with uncertainty about the security of its supplies. So, from August 31 to September 2, the Nord Stream gas pipeline will be stopped for scheduled maintenance of the only working gas pumping unit at the Portovaya compressor station. This immediately provoked an increase in the price of futures to $2,700 per thousand cubic meters.
