By permission of “Gazprom”, the payment of “Moldovagaz” was postponed for August

According to the company, “Gazprom” in an exceptional manner postponed the payment of the advance payment for gas for “Moldovagaz” until September 1.

“JSC “Moldovagaz” did not fulfill its contractual obligations to PJSC “Gazprom” to pay an advance payment for gas supplies in August 2022. In this regard, “Moldovagaz” turned to “Gazprom” with a request to postpone the payment of the advance payment until September 1, 2022. ” Gazprom “made a decision to exceptionally agree with this request,” the company said in a statement.

Last October Gazprom and Moldovagaz signed a new five-year contract after lengthy negotiations. The Russian company then stated that the agreement was concluded practically on the terms of the Moldovan side, but subject to 100% payment of current payments. Nevertheless, Moldova constantly has problems with timely payments, and in January it already asked for a delay.
