An emergency headquarters for the collection and analysis of information was created under the office of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida after a series of powerful earthquakes in Ishikawa Prefecture; the head of government ordered all measures to eliminate the consequences and save people.

The government, in particular, was instructed to work with local administrations to ensure immediate measures after a series of earthquakes.

On Monday afternoon, a series of powerful earthquakes occurred in western Japan. The first tremors of magnitude 5.7 were recorded at 16.06 local time. The second – a more powerful impact – occurred at 16.10 local time.

A tsunami threat has been declared. Strong tremors were felt in Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo. The movement of high-speed trains was stopped. There are no reports of casualties or damage yet.
