Wars and sanctions will not help resolve conflicts, the PRC said.

Neither wars nor sanctions can help resolve conflicts; the most effective way remains dialogue and consultation, the Chinese government’s special representative for Eurasian affairs, Li Hui, said on Thursday at the II Minsk Conference on Eurasian Security.

“International practice has fully demonstrated that neither war nor sanctions can be the main way to resolve conflicts; only dialogue and consultation are the most effective way to resolve differences,” Li Hui said.

He added that the international community will take a clear position in support of all efforts that contribute to the peaceful resolution of crises.
