The police of self-claimed Kosovo infiltrated the Serbian self-government bodies.

The “police” of self-proclaimed Kosovo on Friday invaded Serbian local governments in northern Kosovo and Metohija.

Kosovo police special forces raided the provisional buildings of four Serbian municipalities in the north this afternoon – Kosovska Mitrovica, Leposavic, Zvecan and Zubin Potok. The deputy commander of the Kosovo police of Sector North, Veton Elshani, confirmed that the action is taking place in four municipalities in the north, where, as he said, “parallel structures are located”.

Elshani stressed that the operation does not concern Serbian educational and health institutions. Kosovo Albanian “policemen” have cordoned off municipal buildings, they are in heavy gear with automatic weapons. There are no reports of clashes with local residents.

Tension remains in Kosovo and Metohija due to plans by the Kosovo Albanian “authorities” to open a bridge between the southern “Albanian” and northern “Serbian” parts of Mitrovica for road traffic. Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic called on the NATO KFOR contingent to prevent violence.
