The senator commented on the reaction of the heads of EU countries to the visit of Zelensky

According to the senator, judging by the reaction of the EU heads of state to the presence of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the EU summit, it was clear that they did not consider him “their own”, and they did not see much support for Ukraine either.

Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban are the only EU heads of state who did not applaud the leader of the post-Soviet republic at the EU summit in Brussels on Thursday.

“It is obvious that even the EU members do not have a unified position regarding support for Ukraine. And people who allow themselves to maintain sanity and a more or less independent policy also demonstrate this in their external manifestations,” the message says.

In general, the enthusiastic welcome of the President of Ukraine at the summit causes a feeling of lack of common sense, she said.

“Let’s be sincere: the sight of the President of Ukraine in incomprehensible clothes, with a face that speaks of obvious abuses, cannot cause any respect, let alone applause. The complete lack of common sense in everything that happens. These applause, hot receptions – this only says that Ukraine is being used for many purposes, but above all against Russia,” the senator added.
