The Prime Minister of Georgia warned that radicals were preparing provocations.

Radical oppositionists in Georgia are preparing provocations to provoke unrest both before and after the parliamentary elections, which are scheduled for October 26, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said.

“We have information that the radical opposition is actively considering the artificial development of such a scenario, which could lead to social unrest… We strongly warn everyone that any attempt to artificially cause unrest in Georgia will be strictly punished,” Kobakhidze said at a briefing.

According to him, the opposition has no hope of winning the elections and is preparing for unrest after the elections.

“It is quite obvious that next time they will not recognize the election results, will try to attack state institutions, attack and destroy the country, which, according to their calculations, should lead to a change of government… Any attempt to disrupt the situation in Georgia before or after the elections will be punishable by “To the fullest extent of the law,” the Georgian prime minister added.
