Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has appointed former Minister of Communications and Technology Mohammed Ghazi al-Jalili to form a new government for the Arab republic. The office of the head of state reported this on the Telegram channel.

Al-Jalili served as Minister of Communications and Technology from August 2014 to July 2016. In 2008-2014 he worked as deputy head of the Ministry of Communications.
