The Pentagon announced the success of launching six satellites tracking hypersonic weapons and fighter jets into orbit.

Earlier on Thursday, the department announced the launch of satellites tracking hypersonic weapons. It was clarified that two satellites are equipped with devices that track hypersonic and ballistic missiles, and four others will become part of the fighter tracking system.

“The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and the Space Development Agency (SDA) have confirmed the successful launch of six satellites into Earth orbit… from Cape Canaveral Launch Center 40 on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket,” a statement posted on the Pentagon website said.


It is noted that all satellites were delivered into orbit safely, and their initial testing is currently underway.
