American actor and feminist Scarlett Johansson is gearing up to launch a beauty brand. The Avengers star continues the popular trend among her colleagues to earn more money.
Ms Johansson, the world’s highest-paid actress in 2018 and 2019, has made an announcement regarding her future business project. Scarlett will join forces with the Najafi Companies that will invest from 5 to 10 million USD for her beauty label.
There are no details of the future collaboration, including its name, or whether it would cater to cosmetic or skincare products.
In fact, The Match Point star has some experience in the beauty area as she was previously the brand ambassador for L’Oreal Paris. later, Scarlett was a celebrity model for Dolce & Gabbana’s scent line.
Commenting on her beauty brand, Ms Johansson stressed that several years ago, I took a step back from my beauty deals with the goal of creating something true to me. “The result is a clean, accessible approach to beauty,” said the actor in a statement quoted by Women’s Wear Daily.
The brand is set to launch by the start of 2022, and former Juicy Couture CEO Kate Foster has been roped in by Johansson as the chief executive.
“We are passionate about supporting ambitious and thoughtful founders and management teams who lead with integrity and vision,” Jahm Najafi added.
The investors are happy that the two young, bright and experienced women, Scarlett and Kate, fit squarely in the type of leaders with whom Najafi Co loves to partner for the long term.
