On board the missing bathyscaphe may be a billionaire, a submariner and a businessman.

A British billionaire, French deep sea veteran and founder of an American company that organizes excursions to the wreck of the Titanic, may be on board a tourist bathyscaphe that went missing in the North Atlantic Ocean, Sky News reports.

As specified, Briton Hamish Harding is engaged in business aviation. He also flew into space as a tourist. The businessman himself spoke on social networks about participating in an excursion to the Titanic, and his stepson later reported that Harding had disappeared along with the bathyscaphe.

“Sky News understands that French submarine pilot Paul-Henri Nargolet, as well as CEO and founder of OceanGate Expeditions, Stockton Rush, were also on board the vessel,” the channel said in a statement.

The missing craft belonged to OceanGate Expeditions, which sells $250,000 excursions to the Titanic.

Earlier today it became known that the US Coast Guard is looking for a bathyscaphe that carried people to the Titanic. According to CBS News, searches are underway off the coast of Newfoundland. In turn, OceanGate Expedition said they were “exploring and mobilizing” all the possibilities to save the crew. At the same time, they did not report the presence of tourist passengers on board.
