Obama, Bush and Clinton appear together at Presidents Cup

Obama, Bush and Clinton appear together at Presidents Cup

All three former presidents of the United States are fans of golf, they spend a lot of time on the course and are able to appreciate the beauty and dynamic of this sport. On Thursday, all three men attend matches of the Presidents Cup at Liberty National Golf Club.

The appearance together of three ex-presidents of the US follows a joint effort by the five living former presidents to support hurricane relief efforts. The tragedy unites the people of all ranks and religions, so 2017 Presidents Cup became a special event.

There was Bill Clinton, George W Bush, and Barack Obama, the last three American Commanders-in-Chief, taking a selfie with Phil Mickelson. For one day, at least, the Presidents Cup lived up to its name and didn’t feel like the Ryder Cup lite.

The former Presidents, hurricane, and golf tournament

The ex-Presidents Jimmy Carter, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama have joint their efforts for good deed. On 8/11 video they ask all good Americans to respond to the devastation wrought by the natural disaster, Hurricane Harvey. That time they didn’t know that Hurricanes Irma and Maria will follow shortly but this joint presidential effort was expanded later to include relief for areas affected by hurricanes.

Everyone noted that Donald Trump ignored this year sports event, while Bush, Clinton, and Obama stole the spotlight at Liberty National. There were rumours that the 45th POTUS to be making an appearance at the Presidents Cup on Sunday. We’ll see.

At the Presidents Cup, golf players tried to dodge questions about the politically-charged topic. The Americans like to remember how great it was to have Tiger Woods as an assistant captain, this man has never used his stature as the world’s most famous athlete to support a controversial cause that might offend any of his sponsor’s customers and he didn’t take the bait here, either.
