Netflix and Brad Pitt’s partnership, a new historical movie about King Henry V, has started. In Gloucestershire, the director gathered a star-studded cast, among them, is Robert Pattinson and Lily-Rose Depp who is steadily looking for another challenge in Hollywood.
Berkeley Castle in Gloucestershire became a location for the next movie produced by Brad Pitt and his Plan B company. One of the most anticipated historical drama by Netflix will tell the story of King of England who unexpectedly died at the age of 36. The star of the film will be played by Timothee Chalamet who has been cast as ‘The King’ taking on the role as Henry V.
The script has been written by Davis Michod and Australian actor Joel Edgerton who will also star in the production. According to Plan B, the drama is set to be broadcast in 2019. So far, the castle grounds are buzzing with film crews, technicians and trailers as shooting continues on The King. Wedding and Events Manager at Berkeley Castle Pippa Crossman said that filming started here since May 13 and is expected to leave around mid-June.
“I have not seen any of the stars of the film as they come in vehicles with tinted windows and they go straight to the Great Hall to do their filming. However we do get to see all of the logisitcs and fabulous crew,”
she added.
The plot of the new Pitt’s film has not been released however the story of Henry V is that he reigned as the King of England from 1413 to 1422. Two years after Henry V came to the throne, he took part in The Hundred Years’ War which spanned from 1337 to 1453. During this war he managed to conquer many parts of Normandy, however, he unexpectedly died at the age of 36. The film is set to be broadcast in 2019.
