French mines were found on abandoned positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces

The Ministry of Defense said that after the retreat of Ukrainian troops from Artemovsk, French anti-tank mines were found there, the use of which violates the Geneva Convention.

“Their use is in direct violation of the requirements of the Second Protocol “On the Prohibition or Restriction of the Use of Mines, Booby-Traps and Other Devices”, which is part of the Geneva Convention on the Prohibition or Restriction of the Use of Indiscriminate Weapons, adopted in New York on October 10, 1980,” — said the Ministry of Defense.

We are talking about the positions of the 72nd Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Russian servicemen found more than 50 French-made EMP F2 mines there, which, once placed in a combat position, cannot be removed or rendered harmless.
