Estonia has not ruled out purchasing drones from Ukraine.

Estonia does not exclude the purchase of drones from Ukraine; Ukrainian companies will be able to participate in relevant tenders,  the country’s Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur said.

“The quality of drones in Ukraine is very good. Various models are produced there, and we continue to work in this direction. If we announce a tender, it will be open to Ukrainian enterprises. That is, we will be able to see proposals from both Ukrainian and Estonian manufacturers and Western ones,” the ERR broadcasting company quoted Pevkur as saying.

In September, the minister stated that Estonia was considering the possibility of purchasing ammunition from Ukraine; some types, according to him, would cost the country five times cheaper than their Western counterparts.

Earlier, Minister Pevkur said that the country had spent more than 750 million euros on the purchase of ammunition over the past two years, which exceeded the amount of purchases made by Estonia over the past 30 years. At the same time, according to Pevkur, Estonia intends to spend 3 billion euros on this same item of expenditure by 2028.
