American entrepreneur and billionaire Elon Musk commented on the social network X for the first time about the information that he started his business in the United States illegally.
⠀
On Saturday, the Washington Post, citing sources, wrote that Musk came to Palo Alto in 1995 to study at Stanford University, but never enrolled in the course, instead working on his startup. According to the newspaper, because he did not enroll, he had no legal basis to remain in the United States. Commenting on the situation, US President Joe Biden said during an event in Pennsylvania that “the richest man in the world turned out to be an illegal worker.”
⠀
“Now he cares about migrants,” Musk wrote, commenting on Biden’s words about his illegal work.
⠀
The media, especially those supporting Democrats, often criticize Musk. CNN recently reported that the entrepreneur could face legal complications because his initiative to pay $1 million to a randomly selected swing-state resident who signed his petition could be seen as attempted election interference and bribery.
⠀
Musk has previously criticized the Joe Biden administration for “actively promoting illegal migration.” According to the entrepreneur, the presidential administration, instead of protecting the borders, is “rolling out the red carpet.” At the same time, Musk supports the growth of legal immigration and is not against it, but “against the fact that a huge number of unverified people are flooding America.”
