The use of the airspace of US-occupied Iraq for Israeli strikes on Iran makes Washington an accomplice in the crime, the Iranian permanent mission to the UN said.

The Iranian General Staff previously stated that Israel used Iraqi territory under the control of the US Army to strike Iran.

“Iraqi airspace is under the occupation, command and control of the US armed forces. Conclusion: US complicity in this crime is undeniable,” the Iranian mission indicated on the social network.

On Saturday night, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it was carrying out strikes on military targets in Iran as part of its response to the October 1 attacks on the Jewish state. CBS News, citing a source, reported that the Israeli attack on Iran was limited to military targets and did not extend to nuclear or oil facilities.

According to IRNA, none of Iran’s oil industry facilities were damaged.

Some media outlets claimed that Israel attacked a number of military bases in the west and southwest of Tehran. At the same time, the Tasnim news agency stated that the military centers of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC, the elite units of the Armed Forces), located in the west and southwest of the Iranian capital, were not damaged.
