Dennis Rodman is an idol to the North Korean leader who is a huge basketball fan. The athlete announced his idea to invite Kanye West for writing a new song.
The 57-year-old Dennis Rodman wants to meet Kim Jong Un and Kanye West, such an original move could inspire West to write a new album. Rodman is one of the few Westerners who could say he is a long-time friend of the North Korean leader. Kim Jong Un is known for his passion over basketball, so he has met the NBA basketball star many years ago. Since then, Dennis regularly visited the authoritarian state.
After recent positive developments in the inter-Korean relations, Dennis Rodman said he would like to introduce rapper Kanye West to Kim Jong Un so he can write a song about North Korea, beautiful and powerful country.
“I think that he (Kim) respects me as far as understanding my views. And Kanye, he’s doing amazing work around the world so I respect him, too,’ Rodman said in an interview with US Weekly last week.
The charming Dennis definitely knows the secret how to melt the people’s heart, last week, Kanye West described the former Chicago Bulls player as one of his “biggest inspirations” after receiving a signed vest from him. Now, when the rapper is trying to fight with the spleen and crisis, the attention of another star is very in-time gesture. Kanye highly appreciate it and thanked Rodman on Twitter, saying the basketball star is “always breaking barriers with independent thought”.
Probably, Rodman and West have another common ground, they have both praised US President Donald Trump and have both been seen wearing ‘Make America Great Again’ caps. In April, West and the controversial politician posted a series of complimentary messages on Twitter, last weekend Saturday Night Live, Kanye also showed the support to President.
