Musk has promised to improve the efficiency of US military spending.

American entrepreneur Elon Musk said that the new Department of Government Efficiency in the United States (DOGE) intends to “increase the efficiency” of American military spending.

Earlier, the winner of the US presidential election, Donald Trump, announced that Musk and businessman Vivek Ramaswami would head the new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Musk has repeatedly expressed support for Trump on his social network X, becoming increasingly politically active over the years and regularly commenting on issues of American politics.

“DOGE will improve the efficiency of defense spending,” Musk wrote on social media X.

This is how he responded to Ramaswamy’s publication that the United States needs to increase the efficiency of defense spending, and not just “reflexively increase” its volumes. Ramaswami, in turn, commented on the needlessness of simply increasing defense spending on the call of former Trump national security adviser John Bolton to redirect funds saved as a result of DOGE to defense.
