Trump said that after the ceasefire in Ukraine, the conflict will end. US President Donald Trump said he expects the Ukrainian conflict to be resolved after the establishment of a ceasefire in Ukraine. “We are all working to end this. It’s crazy for nothing. I think there is a chance to achieve this. Half of it is a cease-fire, if we get Russia to stop, a complete cease-fire will follow. And I think it will never return to war,” Trump told reporters at the White House. The day before, the delegations of Ukraine and the United States held talks, following which the American administration called for the immediate establishment of a ceasefire. Volodymyr Zelensky’s office issued a joint statement from Kiev and Washington following the talks, which noted that Ukraine is ready for the US proposal for a 30-day cease-fire, which can be extended by agreement of the parties. Bulgaria denied participation in the supply of pagers that exploded in Lebanon.

The Bulgarian National Security Agency stated that the pagers that exploded in Lebanon were not exported, imported or produced in Bulgaria, the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency (BTA) reports.

Earlier, the Hungarian portal Telex, citing sources, reported that the delivery of the batch of pagers that exploded in Lebanon was carried out by the Bulgarian company Norta Global Ltd., and the Hungarian BAC Consulting Kft. acted only as an intermediary. The Bulgarian State National Security Agency has denied media reports about the alleged involvement of a Bulgarian company in the supply of pagers that exploded in Lebanon.

“As a result of checks carried out by the State Agency for National Security together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Customs Administration, it was conclusively established that communication devices similar to those that were blown up in Lebanon … on September 17, 2024, were not imported, exported or were not produced in Bulgaria,” the publication says, citing a press release from the State Agency.

In different areas of Lebanon on September 17 and 18, communications equipment, including pagers and walkie-talkies, were detonated. According to official data, 37 people were killed and more than three thousand were injured. Hezbollah and the Lebanese authorities blamed Israel for the incident. Israeli authorities have not yet confirmed or denied their involvement.
