Brussels On ‘Level Four’ Alert, Paris-Like Attacks May Repeat

Belgium capital Brussels may face Paris-like attacks and the entire city has entered a security lockdown today. Heavily armed police and soldiers have been deployed. Metro train services have also been shut down until Sunday evening.

Prime Minister Charles Michel said precise information reveals several individuals may launch multiple attacks in the city with guns and bombs.

The crisis center has raised the alert to ‘Level Four’ in the city which mean “serious and immediate threat.”

The PM has urged people to stay calm and not to panic as the government has taken all the necessary measures for the safety of Brussels. They are also suggested to avoid places of large gathering such as airports, train stations, public transit, commercial districts, major events and concerts.

Meanwhile, a manhunt is also in progress for Paris attacks suspected attacker Salah Abdeslam who is on the run. He was last seen at the Belgian border last Saturday.
