Barack Obama arrived with his wife and two daughters to Indonesia, the ex-first family enjoys a holiday. This time, both daughters, Sasha and Malia are accompanying the parents.
Barack Obama’s family is spending time white-water rafting and visiting temples in Indonesia, the VIP guests arrived on the island of Bali this week. According to the preliminary schedule, Barack and Michelle were going to visit an ancient Buddhist temple in Java. before this sightseeing tour, the entire family spent some fascinated time while rafting the river.
The Indonesian people like Barack Obama, the local press gave a lot of attention to the visit of an ex-president of the United States. He is a popular figure in Indonesia and his women also had received saturation press coverage.
Barak Obama: Indonesia now and before
The visit to Indonesia wasn’t the first one to Barack Obama, he knows this country well because of spending four years in Indonesia as a child. After the divorce of his parents, mum married an Indonesian man. The whole family moved to this wonderful country when Barack was only six years old.
In 2010, Mr Obama returned to the country as POTUS with his wife, Michelle. On that trip daughters Malia and Sasha didn’t accompany the former first couple.
The distinguished visitors are being accompanied by a big security complement. Mr Obama is due to meet President Joko Widodo on Friday in his palace south of Jakarta. The family is due to visit the capital on Saturday.
