Australian police will patrol Jewish schools

The Australian Police of the New South Wales will begin patroling of Jewish schools and places of worship against the backdrop of an increase in the number of attacks directed against the Jewish community.

“The police of the new South Wales will begin patroling Jewish schools in the state in order to protect students and teachers from possible anti -Semitic attacks in the future,” the local media reported.


It is noted that police officers will strengthen control around educational institutions, especially in the hours when children come to classes and leave them. Also, patrols will be carried out in places of Jewish worship.


As the portal explains, the strengthening of control measures followed a series of anti -Semitic attacks. In particular, on the eve of the graffiti of the offensive content in three different places in Sydney, one of which was next to the Jewish school.

Recently, Australia authorities have been fixing a surge in attacks aimed at representatives of the Jewish community. In particular, on Wednesday, Deputy Commissioner of the State Police New South Wales David Hudson announced the prevention of anti -Semitic attack using explosives and the beginning of an anti -terrorism investigation. Against the backdrop of the increased cases of anti-Semitism, the Federal Police began an investigation into the possible financing of these incidents abroad.
