An Israeli delegation arrived in Qatar for negotiations on the situation in Gaza.

The Israeli delegation arrived in Doha, where negotiations on a settlement in the Gaza Strip will continue on Sunday in exchange for the release of Israeli hostages,  Dmitry Gendelman, an adviser to the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office said.

“The Israeli delegation has arrived in Qatar to continue negotiations on the release of the hostages, negotiations will begin today,” Gendelman said.

On October 7, 2023, during a Hamas attack on the southern settlements of Israel, the radicals captured more than 250 people and took them to the Gaza Strip. According to Israeli data, Hamas still has 98 people in captivity, including those who are considered dead. During various operations and humanitarian efforts, 156 people were returned from Hamas captivity, including the dead hostages whose bodies were removed from the sector. The hostages, including women, children and elderly people, have been held captive for more than 15 months.
