Donald Trump called this year’s Oscars ‘awful’, comparing it with the 2014 award, which was really the worst. Last week, the press secretary Sean Spicer said that President probably would not watch the Oscars but he did. And Trump didn’t like it at all as anything, which was prepared during the Obama period indeed.
Donald Trump watched 2017 Oscars and made only one comment: “It was a little sad.” Then he started to comment this event more actively but the whole impression was poor. And not only for Trump who said that the 89th Academy ceremony was too focused on Trump personally.
On Monday, the commander in chief gave an interview to Breitbart Monday.
“I think they were focused so hard on politics that they didn’t get the act together at the end,”
Trump referred to the chaotic moment when the organiser confused the public with the name of the best-picture winner. During this awkward moment, Mahershala Ali got some new grey hair probably (La La Land was mistakenly announced as the best-picture winner instead of the rightful victor, Moonlight).

Donald Trump pointed also several other Oscars moments when the presenters and winners took digs at the president himself throughout the night, both directly and obliquely. If this jokes intended to be a political satire, they should have more intelligence to be a fine humour.
President said:
“It took away from the glamour of the Oscars. It didn’t feel like a very glamorous evening. I’ve been to the Oscars. There was something very special missing, and then to end that way was sad.”
According to Trump, the “glamour” has been missing from the Oscars since at least 2015—when Trump called the ceremony “a sad joke, very much like our President.”
