Dutch-led criminal investigation is ready to reveal the new details regarding a tragic incident in 2014 when a Malaysian jet was shot down in 2014 by a Buk missile that was moved into eastern Ukraine from Russia. The Joint Investigation Team, police and judicial officials have now a new solid evidence that Malaysian plane downed by launcher from Russia.
The Dutch-led Joint Investigation Team got another solid evidence of Russia’s guilt in the tragedy with the Malaysian Airlines Flight 17 of 2014. The experts have been working together over two years to gather the best possible evidence for use in prosecution of the perpetrators.
The deadly shot of the surface-to-air weapon blasted Malaysian Airlines Flight 17 led to the death in the air of 298 people aboard. The experts were gathering the debris near the rebel-held area of Pervomaiskiy. According to the witnesses, they heard an explosion and a whistling sound and a patch of the field was set on fire.
The head of the Central Crime Investigation (CCI) department of the Dutch National Police reported on their interception of communications between pro-Moscow rebels. Then rebels had called for the deployment of the mobile surface-to-air weapon and reported its arrival on July 17, 2014, in rebel-controlled areas of eastern Ukraine.
Now, the Joint Investigation Team may conclude that:
“MH17 was shot down by a 9M38 missile launched by a Buk, brought in from the territory of the Russian Federation, and that after launch was subsequently returned to the Russian Federation,”
Mr. Paulissen, head of the CCI department, told a news conference Wednesday in Nieuwegein. Kremlin spokesperson Mr. Peskov reiterated that assertion ahead of the Dutch report.
