Pentagon: Coalition air strike kills ISIS ‘minister of information’

A coalition air strike killed one more powerful person of ISIS structure. According to the Pentagon, Wa’il Adil Hasan Salman al-Fayad was killed in Syria, he was so-called ‘minister of information’ of Daesh.

The Pentagon reported on the success of another coalition’s air strike. During the air campaign in Syria a top ISIS strategist, “minister of information” was killed. The Pentagon’s spokesman Peter Cook shared the news that Wa’il Adil Hasan Salman al-Fayad was killed in a precision strike. Air strike happened on September 7 near Raqa, the capital of ISIS jihadists group.

The Pentagon spokesperson added:

“Wa’il oversaw ISIL’s production of terrorist propaganda videos showing torture and executions.”

Mr. Cook explained that ‘Dr.Wa’il’ was the senior ISIS’s leader and was a close associate of Abu Mohammed al-Adnani, the Daesh spokesman killed on Aug. 30.

The U.S. official announcement comes as air strikes and clashes are testing a fragile ceasefire in Syria. The Pentagon had deployed dozens of US Special Operations Forces to Syria’s border. It is a very fragile plot of the border, where Turkey fights ISIS. CNN informs that up to 40 US Special Operations Forces are accompanying Turkish troops as they clear ISIS from northern Syria. This new mission, dubbed “Operation Noble Lance,” was authorized this week and is now underway, the US officials added.
