Explosions occurred at an ammunition depot in Cuba.

Explosions occurred at an ammunition and weapons depot in Cuba, 13 military personnel are considered missing, the Cuban Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces reported.

The agency said on Wednesday that the incident occurred in Holguin province in the southeast of the country.

“As a result of explosions at a weapons and ammunition depot in … the municipality of Rafael Fraire in the province of Holguin, … military personnel disappeared,” the ministry said in a statement on the social network X, which listed the names of all 13 missing military personnel.

The Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Cuba does not specify the reasons for the incident or the number of wounded or dead.
