The trial of the son of current US President Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, demonstrated that his father did not influence the work of the Justice Department and did not make any “indulgences” for him, Joe Tacopina, a former lawyer of former US President Donald Trump said.

“For those who argue that Biden controls the Department of Justice, the situation with his son really puts an end to this dispute. What I mean is: if he really, as president, controlled the Department of Justice, the FBI, the DA’s office, would he allow, to have his own son brought to justice?” – Tacopina wondered.

The lawyer noted that the investigation into the son of the head of state was “very active,” and in the end Hunter Biden was forced to plead guilty on all counts.

“He was not given any concessions. So when they say that the president interferes in the work of the Justice Department and manipulates it, it is almost funny. If this were so, he would not have been brought to justice,” Trump’s ex-lawyer said.

In conclusion, Tacopina added that Biden Jr. “was called to account for his crimes” and “received no relief from his father, of which one can be sure.”

Biden Jr. pleaded guilty in the tax evasion case, the verdict is scheduled for December 16. Another verdict – in the case of violations in the purchase and storage of weapons – will be handed down on December 4.
